Torpedo Sea Battle: free naval battle game online

A hidden fleet, a grid and a guess. You place five ships on a 10 by 10 sea, and the computer hides its own. Take turns firing at squares. The first to sink every ship wins.
You fire first. Play the computer on Easy, Normal or Hard, and see how few shots you need.
Also called: naval battle game, sink the ships game, ship guessing game, sea battle against the computer, sea battle
How to play
- Open the game and pick Easy, Normal or Hard.
- Place your five ships: the Flagship (5 squares), Frigate (4), Corvette (3), Submarine (3) and Patrol boat (2). Drag them from the tray, or tap the sea to drop one. Tap a ship to turn it.
- Short on time? Tap Auto to place the fleet for you, or Clear to start again. Then tap Start.
- Tap a square on their sea to fire. A splash ring is a miss, a coral burst is a hit, and a sunk ship is outlined. On a keyboard, use the arrow keys and Enter.
- The computer then fires one shot at your fleet. You each get one shot a turn.
- On a phone you see one sea at a time. Use the Their sea and Your fleet switch to look at the other. Sink all five ships to win.
Tips
- Search in a checkerboard pattern. Every ship is at least two squares long, so none can hide between your shots.
- After a hit, fire at the squares next to it to find which way the ship lies.
- Change where you hide your ships from game to game, so the pattern is hard to learn.
