A crossword is a grid of white and black squares. Each run of white squares is a word, and each word has a clue. Words read Across, left to right, or Down, top to bottom. Where they cross, they share a letter, so every word you get helps with the next one.
Tap a square to pick a word. Tap it again to switch between Across and Down. The clue shows in the bar under the grid, and its little arrows step you from clue to clue, so you never lose your place. Type with the keys below. Fill every square correctly and the puzzle is solved, with stars and a little confetti to celebrate.
