Want a game of Hearts without finding three other people? You sit at the table with Rosa, Sam and June, three computer players, and the cards are dealt as soon as the page opens.

It is the real game. You pass cards, avoid taking points, and watch out for the queen of spades. The lowest score wins.

How to play

  1. Open the game and choose Easy, Normal or Hard. Pick a full game to 100, or a short game to 50.
  2. At the start of each hand you pass three cards. The direction changes: left, right, across, and then a hand with no passing.
  3. Whoever holds the two of clubs leads. Play a card of the same suit if you can. The highest card of that suit takes the trick.
  4. Cards you can play lift up with a gold edge. A card you cannot play dims, and a short note tells you why.
  5. Hearts are one point each and the queen of spades is 13. Hearts cannot be led until a heart has been played, and there are no points on the first trick.
  6. Take every heart and the queen and you shoot the moon. The others score 26 points and you score none.

Who do I play against?

You play against three computer players, Rosa, Sam and June. Easy is relaxed. Normal plays more carefully, and Hard keeps track of the cards.

How do you win at Hearts?

You want the lowest score. The game ends when someone reaches 100 points, or 50 in the short game. Whoever has the fewest points then wins.
