Chess: play chess against the computer, free

Here is a free chess game against the computer that opens in one tap. There is nothing to download and no account to make. You play white at the bottom, and the computer plays black.
It is real chess, not a cut-down version. Castling, en passant, check, stalemate and the draw rules are all there. When you pick up a piece, the squares it can move to light up, so you never make an illegal move by accident.

How to play
- Open the game. You are white, at the bottom of the board.
- Tap a piece. Its legal squares glow green, and any square where you can capture gets a red ring. Tap one of those squares to move. On a keyboard, walk the blue cursor with the arrow keys and press A to pick up and A again to put down.
- Tapping the same piece again, or pressing B, puts it back down. An illegal square just shakes and nothing moves.
- To castle, pick up your king and move it two squares along. The rook comes with it.
- A pawn that reaches the far end always becomes a queen. Trap the black king so it cannot escape to win by checkmate.
Keyboard: arrows, A and B. Phone: the on-screen pad.
Tips
- Take the center early with your pawns, and bring your knights and bishops out before you move the queen.
- Before every move, check what the computer threatens. Then check again.
- Castle early to tuck your king away safely.
- Trade pieces when you are ahead. A simpler board is easier to win.
