How to play
Classic sudoku, in four easy steps.
Tap a square, then a number.
Pick an empty square and tap a number along the bottom. Changed your mind? Undo takes it back, and Erase clears the square.
Pencil in the maybes.
Turn on Notes to jot small numbers in a square, like pencil in the margin. When you place a number, it can clear itself from the notes nearby.
A hint that teaches.
The first hint in every puzzle is free. It doesn’t just drop a number in. It points to the squares, names the step and tells you the reason, so next time you can spot it yourself.
Easy on the eyes
A calm board you can set up your way.
Six levels, Easy to Extreme.
Easy, Medium, Hard, Expert, Master and Extreme. Your very first puzzle is a gentle Easy one. Move up when you’re ready.
High Contrast, one switch away.
Turn on High Contrast in Settings for stronger lines and darker numbers. Hide the timer if you’d rather not feel rushed.
See where a number fits.
Tap a square and its row, column and box light up, along with every matching number. Repeats are marked, and a number fades once all nine are placed.
A star a day, a trophy a month.
A fresh daily challenge earns a star on your calendar. Turn on a daily reminder if you like a gentle nudge.
Forgiving when you want it.
Wrong numbers turn red. Lock Correct Numbers keeps a right answer safe from a stray tap, and you can turn the three-mistake limit off.
A little math puzzle, too.
Need a change from the grid? Try the Math Puzzle, a small cross of sums. Awards and statistics keep your wins, best times and streaks.

Can I play sudoku offline, with no wifi?
Yes. Every puzzle, the daily challenge included, is already inside the app, so you can play on a plane or with wifi off. You only need a connection to buy Remove Ads.
Is this easy sudoku for beginners?
Yes. Your very first puzzle is a gentle Easy one, and short tips show you how the buttons work. Every puzzle can be solved by logic alone, so you never have to guess.
Does it have ads?
Yes, it is free with ads: a banner, occasional full-screen ads between puzzles (never before your first win), and optional rewarded ads you choose for an extra hint or a second chance. Remove Ads is a one-time purchase.
What happens if I make a mistake?
A wrong number turns red. Three mistakes end the puzzle, and you can watch a short video for a second chance. Rather not count? Turn off Mistake Limit in Settings.
