Looking for spider solitaire online? It uses two decks laid out in ten columns on a deep blue table. The cards are big and plain, so they are easy to read on any screen.

Start with one suit, the gentle way in. When you are ready, try two suits, or all four.

How to play

  1. Open the game and pick 1 suit (Easy), 2 suits or 4 suits.
  2. Build the columns down in order, like a 7 on an 8. Any suit can go on any suit.
  3. You can only move a run of cards that are all one suit and in order. Drag the run, or tap it. It goes to its own suit first, then to any fit, then to an empty space.
  4. Build a run of one suit from King down to Ace and it lifts off the table by itself.
  5. Tap the deck to deal a new row, one card on each column. You cannot deal while a column is empty.
  6. Stuck? Tap Hint and the card and its spot glow. Tap Undo to take a move back. Clear all eight runs to win.

Can I play spider solitaire on my phone or tablet?

Yes. Drag a run, or tap it and the game picks the best spot. Tap the deck to deal. On a computer, use the mouse, or the arrow keys with Space and Enter. H gives a hint, U undoes and D deals.

What is the difference between 1, 2 and 4 suits?

One suit is the easiest, and its deals are picked so that a win is possible. Two suits is harder, and four suits is the toughest, so some deals will not work out.

How is the score worked out?

You start at 500 and lose 1 point for each move. You earn 100 for each run you clear.
