Mahjong Pairs is a quick tile matching game you can play free in your browser. There is no download and no account. You clear a small board by matching pairs of identical tiles.

Only free tiles can be matched, and the free ones are drawn bright, so you always see what you can play. If you get stuck, the board shuffles itself, up to three times.

How to play

  1. Look for bright tiles. These are the free ones.
  2. Pick a free tile, then pick a matching free tile to clear the pair. On a keyboard, use the arrows to walk the free tiles and A to pick one.
  3. Press B (or the B key) if you want a pair found for you.
  4. If no more pairs are open, the board shuffles itself. You get three shuffles.
  5. Clear every tile to win.

Yes. Tap a bright tile and then its match. You can also use the on-screen arrows and the A and B buttons.

How do I play mahjong solitaire?

Match two identical tiles that are both free. A tile is free when nothing sits on top of it and it can slide out on one side. Matched pairs clear away.

What happens if I get stuck?

The board shuffles itself, up to three times, so you can keep going.
