Snakes and Ladders is a race to square 100. Climb a ladder and you jump ahead. Land on a snake and you slide back down.

Here you roll two dice and choose which one to move by, so every turn has a small choice to make. Play with 2, 3 or 4 players: you and up to three computer players.

How to play

  1. Open the game, pick 2, 3 or 4 players, and choose a level.
  2. Tap Roll to throw two dice.
  3. Tap the die you want to move by. On a computer, hover over a die to see where it would land.
  4. Land at the foot of a ladder and climb up. Land on a snake's head and slide down.
  5. The first to reach square 100 wins. From level 4, you must land on 100 exactly. If your count is too big, the extra steps bounce you back.
  6. Win a level to open the next one. There are six levels on three boards: Meadow, Garden and Jungle.

Yes. Tap Roll, then tap a die. On a computer, press Space to roll, and 1 or 2 to pick a die.

How many can play?

You play with 1, 2 or 3 computer players, so 2, 3 or 4 on the board.

How hard is the computer?

On the first levels it often picks the weaker die, so a beginner can win. As you climb the levels, it picks the better die more often. Level 6 is the hardest.
