Gin Rummy Classic: play gin rummy online free

Looking for a game of gin rummy any time of day? You play one on one against Mae, a computer player, and the cards are dealt as soon as the page opens.
Collect sets and runs, keep your leftover cards low, and knock when you are ahead. Your hand sorts itself into its best melds as you play, so it is easy to see where you stand.

How to play
- Open the game, choose Easy, Normal or Hard, and play a short game to 50 or a full game to 100.
- You get 10 cards. On your turn, tap the deck or the discard pile to take a card, then tap a card to discard.
- Make melds: three or four of a kind, or three or more in a row in one suit. Coloured edges show each meld, and the leftover cards (deadwood) come last.
- Aces count 1 and face cards 10. When your deadwood is 10 or less, the line above your hand says You can knock. Tap Knock, then tap the card to lay down.
- If every card is in a meld, you can go gin for a 25-point bonus. After a knock, the other player can add cards to your melds, but not after gin.
- You score the difference in deadwood. If the other player ends with as little as you or less, that is an undercut, and they get a 25-point bonus.
Tips
- Throw high cards early. A King left in your hand is 10 points of deadwood.
- Watch what Mae takes from the discard pile. It tells you what she is collecting.
- Do not rush to knock. Going gin pays a 25-point bonus, and she cannot add to your melds.
Questions
Is Gin Rummy free, and do I need to download anything?

Can I play Gin Rummy on my phone or tablet?
Yes. Tap the deck or the pile, then tap a card to discard. It works in portrait or landscape. On a computer, use the mouse, or the arrow keys with Enter or Space.
