Math Facts Race: a free math facts game for kids

Math Facts Race is a math facts game for kids. A fact shows up, like 6 + 3. Type the answer and your car moves one step toward the flag. Get there before the pace car and you win the race.
Pick a grade, from Kindergarten to Grade 5. Kindergarten starts with adding and taking away within 5. Grade 3 brings times and divide facts to 10, and Grade 5 adds two-digit sums and differences within 100. Each grade has 3 races, from the easy end of the facts to the whole range.
Also called: math facts game, math game for kids, multiplication practice game, math race game, math facts race
How to play
- Open the game and pick a grade, then a race. The next race you have not won is picked for you.
- A math fact shows on the screen. Type the answer on the big number pad, or with the number keys on a keyboard.
- The game checks your answer by itself once you have typed as many digits as the answer has. Enter works too.
- A right answer moves your car one step. Five right in a row is Turbo, which gives you a bonus step.
- A wrong answer says Try again. After two misses the game shows the answer and moves on to a new fact.
- Reach the flag before the pace car to win. You earn up to 3 stars, and fewer misses earn more. If the pace car gets there first, the game says Almost and you can try again. Esc or P pauses.
Tips
- Start with race 1 of your grade. It uses the easier facts, so it is a gentle way in.
- Aim for a streak. Five right in a row is Turbo, and Turbo is a free step.
- If a fact trips you up, look at the answer when the game shows it. You will meet that fact again.
