Mahjong Connect: free tile matching online
Mahjong Connect is a tile matching puzzle. The tiles show Mahjong faces, such as dots, bamboo, characters, winds and flowers. Tap two tiles with the same face, and if a line can join them, they leave the board.
The line can turn twice at most, and it must run through empty squares. It can even go around the outside edge. There are 12 levels, from a small 4x4 board with 4 faces up to a 6x10 board with 30 faces, so it starts gentle and grows.

How to play
- Open the game and start with level 1. Win a level to open the next.
- Tap a tile, then tap another tile with the same face.
- If a line with two turns or fewer can join them through empty squares, the line is drawn and the tiles leave. The line may go around the edge of the board.
- Clear every tile to win. You earn stars for each level, and hints and shuffles cost a little.
- Stuck? The game says No pairs left, and the Shuffle button glows. A shuffle always leaves a board that can be cleared.
- Tap Hint to see a pair, and Undo to take back a match. If you run out of shuffles with no pairs left, the round ends, and you can undo the last pair or try again.
Tips
- Look for pairs along the edges first. A line can go around the outside, so edge tiles are easy to join.
- Clear tiles to open paths. The fewer tiles are left, the more empty squares and lines you have.
- Save your shuffles for when you are really stuck. The later levels have fewer of them.

Can I play on my phone or tablet?
Yes. Tap one tile, then tap its match. On a computer, click, or use the keys: arrows to move, Enter to pick, H for a hint, U to undo and S to shuffle.
Can every board be cleared?
Each board is dealt so that it can be cleared, and a shuffle always leaves a board that can be cleared too. You can still get stuck if a different order of matches leads to a dead end. Undo takes back the last pair.
How do stars work?
You earn stars by clearing a level. Hints and shuffles cost you, so using fewer of them earns more stars. The game also keeps your best time for each level.
