Hexa Stack Sort is a stacking puzzle on a board of hexagons. Three stacks of colored tiles wait in a tray. You drop each one on an empty hex, and where matching colors meet, they pour together.

When ten or more tiles of one color sit on top of a stack, they clear away. Each of the 30 levels has a clear goal, and level 1 has only three colors and single color stacks, so it is gentle to start. If the board fills up, the level ends, and you can undo or try again.

How to play

  1. Open the game and play level 1. Win a level to open the next.
  2. Three stacks wait in the tray. Drag a stack onto an empty hex, or tap the stack and then tap a hex.
  3. When two stacks sit side by side with the same color on top, the tiles of that color pour together.
  4. Ten or more tiles of one color on top of a stack clear away. Clearing tiles brings you closer to the goal for the level.
  5. Clear enough tiles to win the level. If every hex fills up, the level ends. You get three undos in each level, and Hint suggests a move.
  6. Every color also has its own symbol, so you can tell them apart without color. On a keyboard, use 1, 2 and 3 or Tab to pick a stack, the arrows to walk the board, Enter or Space to drop, U to undo, H for a hint and Esc to pause.

Yes, a little. If the board fills up, the level ends with an out of space card. You can undo, which you get three times in each level, or try the level again with a new deal.

Can I play without telling colors apart?

Yes. Each color has its own symbol on the top tile and on the bands below, such as a circle, a triangle, a star or a plus.
