Code Breaker is a game of clues and careful thinking. The game hides a secret code of four colors, and you have 10 tries to crack it.

After each guess you get pegs as clues. They tell you how close you are, but not which spot is which. There are five levels, from five colors up to eight.

How to play

  1. Open the game and pick a level. Gentle comes first, and a win on your top level opens the next.
  2. Tap a color to fill the ringed spot, and fill all four spots. Tap a spot to move to it. Tap a filled spot again to empty it.
  3. Tap Check. A black peg means one color is right and in the right spot. A white peg means a color is right but in the wrong spot.
  4. The pegs do not say which spot is which. Use them to work out the code.
  5. Keep guessing, up to 10 tries. The first two levels never use the same color twice. Later levels can repeat colors.
  6. Every color also has a shape on it, like a star or a heart, for players who find colors hard to tell apart. You can hide the shapes in Settings. On a keyboard, press 1 to 8 for colors, Backspace to take back, and Enter to check.
