Questions
Should I include the end date?
Include it when both days count, like a hotel stay you are paying for each day of, or a project from Monday through Friday (5 days). Leave it out for the time between: Monday to Friday is 4 days later.
How are business days counted?
Monday to Friday, over the same days as the total. Holidays are not taken off, because they differ by country, state and employer: subtract any that fall in your dates.
How are months counted?
As calendar months from the start date, then the days left over. A month after Jan 31 is the last day of February.
Is it thrown off by the clocks changing?
No. It counts calendar days, not hours, so the night the clocks change is one day like any other: Mar 7 to Mar 9, 2026 is 2 days.
