Questions
How is exact age worked out?
Count the whole years since the birth date, then the whole months since the last birthday, then the days left over. Born June 15, 1990, on October 29, 2026, is 36 years, 4 months and 14 days.
What about birthdays on February 29?
In years without a Feb 29, the birthday is counted on Feb 28, so a leap-day baby turns a year older on Feb 28. Some places count March 1 for legal purposes; check the rule where you live if it matters.
What if the birthday is on the 31st?
A month after the 31st is the last day of a shorter month: from Jan 31, one month is Feb 28 (or 29), and the days count on from there.
