Puzzle Paper: Daily Sudoku: privacy

Last updated 2026-10-25.

Puzzle Paper has no accounts and no sign-in, and we never ask for your name, email or contacts. This page says exactly what the app does with data. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

What stays on your device

Your papers, streak, puzzle books, album, badges and settings are saved on the device. So is a simple log of what happens in the app (a puzzle started or finished, a setting changed), which we use to make the game better. Your referral code is made on the device too. Deleting the app deletes all of it.

Game statistics

The app may also send those same game events, without your name and without the advertising identifier, to Google Analytics for Firebase, so we can see which puzzles people enjoy.

Crash reports

If the app crashes, Firebase Crashlytics (a Google service) sends us a crash report: the device model, the iOS version, the app version and where in the app it stopped. We use it only to find and fix crashes.

Ads

The free app shows ads from Google AdMob. Where the law requires it, the app first asks for your consent through Google’s consent form, and on iPhone it asks whether you allow tracking. If you say no, ads are not personalised. To deliver ads, AdMob may process technical information such as your approximate location from the IP address, the device type and diagnostics. That goes to Google, not to us. Google’s own Privacy Policy applies to what it handles. Where the law requires it, you can also change your ad choices later in the app’s settings.

Purchases

Remove Ads and Puzzle Paper Plus are bought through Apple. We never see your payment details.

Reminders

If you turn them on, the app schedules reminders on your device, such as “your paper is here”. They are local notifications: nothing is sent to a server.

Contact, and asking us to delete

We hold no account or profile about you. Data on the device is removed by deleting the app. If you have a question or a concern, email support@handeware.com and a person will answer. For anything Google holds, you can use Google’s own privacy tools.
