Score more than the rival in ten turns each. You get seven lettered tiles; spell words on the board and the premium squares multiply what you earn. The board: red 3W triples the whole word, pink 2W doubles it, dark blue 3L triples that one letter, light blue 2L doubles it. A square only pays once, on the turn you cover it. Your first word must run across the gold star in the middle; after that every word must touch a tile already on the board, and every word it creates — down as well as across — has to be in the dictionary or the play is refused. Arrows: move the gold cursor around the board (it wraps at the edges). A: drop the selected rack tile on the cursor square. The cursor then walks on in the direction your word is going and hops over letters already down. B: step to the next tile on your rack. The chosen tile lifts and glows gold. START (Enter): play the word. With nothing placed it instead swaps your whole rack for seven fresh tiles, which costs you a turn. SELECT (Escape): take back every tile you have placed this turn, back onto the rack. Use all seven tiles in one turn for a 40 point bonus. After the final turn, press A to play again.
